Who we are

Tatvani is a private estate in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it afterwards.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you complete the enquiry form we collect your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to write in your message. We ask for nothing else, and there is no account to create.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. These exist to keep the site secure and running.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal for your stay; to keep a record of our correspondence with you; and to keep this website secure and working properly.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

Our legal basis

Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act, and under the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies to you, we rely on your consent when you submit the enquiry form, on the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the estate.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with our hosting provider, which stores this website and its data on our behalf; with our email provider, through which enquiries reach us; and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for three years after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to remove it sooner, or we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work and keep it secure, set by WordPress and by our host’s caching. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide a copy in a portable form. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

To do any of these, write to us by letter at the address given under Contact below and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the relevant authority — in Thailand, the Personal Data Protection Committee.

Keeping it safe

This site is served over an encrypted connection, access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it, and our host applies its own security measures. No website can promise perfect security, but we treat these obligations seriously.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
