Natural Fertiliser – Tatvani’s Herd of Water Buffalo and Elephant Sanctuary
At Tatvani, sustainability begins with the land and those who live upon it. Our organic fertiliser is lovingly sourced from our own herd of gentle water buffalo and the majestic residents of our elephant sanctuary. This rich, natural compost nourishes our gardens, rice paddies, and landscaped grounds, helping them flourish without chemical interference. It's a beautiful, closed-loop system where nothing is wasted, and everything contributes to the circle of life on the estate.
Zero Single-Use Plastic Bottles
You will not find a single plastic bottle at Tatvani. Each guest is gifted a beautiful, stainless-steel bottle upon arrival, perfect for keeping cool and hydrated during your stay. Our drinking water is filtered onsite and presented in functioning glass bottles, ensuring that your comfort doesn’t come at the planet’s expense. It's a small change with a big impact—helping to preserve the pristine natural environment that makes Tatvani so special.
Rainwater Harvesting
Sustainability flows naturally at Tatvani—literally. We have implemented an intelligent rainwater harvesting system that collects and stores rainfall throughout the year. This water is then used to irrigate our extensive gardens and maintain the tranquil ponds and water features around the estate. It reduces our reliance on external sources and ensures that we tread lightly on the land, even in the height of the dry season.
On-Site Organic Gardens
Our chefs don’t have to look far for inspiration—Tatvani’s Organic Kitchen Garden is brimming with fresh herbs, vegetables, and edible flowers, all grown right here on the Estate. These ingredients are harvested daily and used in everything from gourmet guest meals to immersive cooking classes. Not only does this guarantee freshness and flavour, but it also reduces our carbon footprint and promotes a farm-to-table lifestyle rooted in care and consciousness.

Every guest stay at Tatvani plants the seed of change—literally. For each booking, we plant a tree either on the estate or in a nearby reforestation area.
